Regional Creatives Wellbeing Program
A partnership between Regional Arts Australia and Hey Mate.
About the program
Regional Arts Australia is teaming up with Hey Mate to offer regional creatives a program
of mental health, wellness support, and education throughout May and June.
From short and sharp bite-sized sessions that promote and encourage individual health
and wellbeing to Mental Health First Aid Training, the program has something for
everyone.
The program kicks off with a series of free- 20 minute quick sessions to give you a taste
for the program exploring Mental Health vs Mental Illness and How to beat Isolation for
creatives living and working remotely.
Next are two individual workshops Creative Industry Workplace Wellbeing and Building
Resilience. These low-cost, pay what you can workshops will provide strategies and
resources on how we can support ourselves and our colleagues and provide participants
skills to respond more adaptively to external pressures.
To round off the series we are providing sixty subsidised places in Mental Health First Aid
Training, training industry professionals and community how to identify, understand and
help someone who may be experiencing mental health difficulties.
